Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Current Salary, plus 1 SEN point, ECT's are welcome to apply for this role.
Primary location: Willow Dene School, Greenwich
Contract type: Permanent
Roll: SEND for children aged 2-19 with a wide range of special needs across two locations
Willow Dene is a forward thinking and innovative school that is committed to providing an
outstanding education for children with a wide range of learning needs. We have been awarded
NAS advanced accreditation, are a MOVE centre of excellence and have designed and
implemented our own ground breaking personalised assessment system.
Willow Dene forms part of the exciting Compass Partnership of Schools and is a charitable
trust of 15 schools across Greenwich and Essex that work at one to achieve the very best for
all children and communities. We aim to inspire all children to engage confidently with
the world and develop the knowledge and skills from across the curriculum that
enable them to thrive. By working as one, we maximise the knowledge and skills of
all the adults in our schools. We share the very best practice and learning from the
research that will make a difference to the progress and achievement of all children.
This partnership provides immense opportunities to develop the quality of provision and
outcomes, and the sharing of good practice. We are a research-engaged community and are
constantly seeking new and innovative ways of developing teaching for learning.
We have been judged by Ofsted as "Outstanding". The report recognised that ‘all
staff are determined to give every child who comes through the school’s doors the
best possible start in life’ and ‘leaders have successfully created a culture where staff
feel valued and supported’. Willow Dene is committed to safeguarding and promoting the
welfare of all pupils attending the school. As the duties of this post involve regular
contact with children, any offer to the successful candidate will be conditional upon
an Enhanced DBS and medical clearance check's being completed.
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic practitioner, who is willing to
learn and want to achieve the very highest standards of teaching and learning. We want
someone who is able to see the possibilities for our exceptional learners and develop
provision that enables all to thrive. You will be joining a friendly, enthusiastic and well
qualified staff team and we hope you will find this post challenging, stimulating and
rewarding.
In-service training, an induction programme and mentoring will be provided by the
school. We encourage visits to view the school; however, we would warmly
welcome telephone calls or a video meet with anyone who is thinking about
applying to answer any questions or provide further information.
Please contact:
